Dissemination Director
LASG Studio
Adrian Chîu leads the participatory kits and publication projects for the Living Architecture Systems Group. He utilizes digital design and fabrication to create interactive experiential environments, and directs the development of an approachable STEAM kit-of-parts for interactive architecture, distilled from LASG concepts and methods. Adrian holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Architectural Sciences from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU, formerly Ryerson), with an optional specialization in their Digital Fabrication Zone. He has played a significant role in advancing student co-curricular experiential learning, having served as the principal of arc.soc, TMU’s architecture student society that focused on initiative funding allocation, and as co-director of F_RMlab, an open peer-to-peer student design collective focused on architecture and technology at the University of Waterloo. Adrian’s own work explores the intersection of architecture and technology through interactive installations and novel methods of making sustainably. His installations have been exhibited at Winter Stations, DesignTO, the Design Exchange’s EDIT expo, the Gladstone Hotel’s Come Up to My Room, Saskatoon’s Nuit Blanche, and the Bergen International Wood Festival.
